Twitch’s premier original game show, created and produced by Tempo, in the top 20% of 2022 Webby Award entrants
LOS ANGELES, CA – April 5, 2022 – The Webby Awards—commonly known as “the Oscars of the internet” and hosted by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences—recently recognized Tempo’s original production, Hivemind, as a 2022 Honoree. The award places the original production in the top 20% of all 2022 entrants, and among the top seven of all submissions in the “Media, Entertainment & Sports, Virtual & Remote” category.
Hivemind is a live, interactive game show where contestants guess the most popular responses to real-time chat surveys. The show featured some of the biggest names on the platform, including hosts Ludwig and moistcr1tikal, and contestants PayMoneyWubby, DrLupo, CodeMiko, and Mizkif. With a custom-built, first-of-its-kind extension and engagement that rivaled some largest-scale shows on the platform, Hivemind revolutionized the world of live entertainment.
The show’s strong performance during its pilot season prompted Twitch to renew its collaboration with Tempo for Season Two—and Hivemind continued that success into the second season, boasting 70 thousand average viewers, a peak of 182 thousand average concurrent views, 4.5 million interactions with the proprietary extension, 8.7 million minutes watched.
